Donald Trump inadvertently shared a glimpse of his “secret” Mexico plan – when he waved around a document confirming details of a regional asylum project with the country.

The US president refused to discuss the plan, calling it a “secret,” though parts of the document was caught on camera by the press.

Washington Post photographer Jabin Botsford captured a key part of the agreement, which included the following: “The Government of Mexico will take all necessary steps under domestic law to bring the agreement into force with a view to ensuring that the agreement will enter into force within 45 days.”

Awkward...

People made jokes about it

And others found his hands weird

Trump intends to tighten the border with Mexico, and the document suggested that Mexico agreed to a deadline by which they had to prove that they made efforts to stop the flow of migration.

This comes just a day after the Mexico foreign minister says no immigration deal exists between Mexico and the US, despite the fact that Trump had tweeted a “fully signed and documented” agreement which would be “revealed in the not too distance future.”
