Woman chases down man who sexually harassed her, kicks him in head

We can't condone violence, but this is still a satisfying way of dealing with sexual harassment.

Veena Ashiya Chindlur was jogging in Bangalore when she was "Eve-teased" - an Indian description for the public sexual harassment of women by men.

Rather than running on she instead chased the man involved, forced him to apologise (quite grovelingly), kicked him in the head and contacted police.

K R Suryaprakash, 30, has been bailed after being accused of making lewd gestures and outraging the modesty of a woman.

Hurrah.

Less encouraging is the fact that many people have accused Veena of fabricating the entire incident.

"[The video has been] called orchestrated by some on [Facebook], which is very sad. The fact that women can react and hit back is just not acceptable in our society," she said.
