Trump appoints Erika Kirk to US Air Force Academy board
USA Today - News / VideoElephant
People think Donald Trump gave Erika Kirk some unsolicited advice on how to deal with influencers mocking her - and it’s exactly the kind of tip you might expect.
An unnamed influencer, widely believed to be the American comedian Druski, recently went viral after appearing in a skit captioned “How Conservative Women in America act”. In it, they wore prosthetics to look like a white woman and walked out onto a fake stage in front of pyrotechnics. Many have suggested the video mocks Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow - although he has never explicitly said she is the inspiration behind the character.
The person they were imitating then gave a speech at a lectern and said, “We have to protect all men in America, especially all white men in America”, while backed by a black security guard.
It was at an Easter lunch that Trump told Erika Kirk that she should “sue” the people that are “jealous” of Erika, with many suggesting he was talking about Druski and his alleged parody of her.
“Hello, darling,” Trump said after spotting Kirk in the crowd. “Wow, this is a good table. I like that table. You’re doing well, right? OK. I think you should sue him, but, you know. I told her, ‘You ought to sue some of these’. They’re so jealous of Erika … I can say it, you’re not allowed to say this – you have to be nicer. Sue their a** off.”
The irony of the so-called proponents of free speech suggesting that Kirk should sue over an apparent comedy skit wasn’t lost.
“The concept of this,” someone wrote.
“The ‘free speech’ party folks! These snowflake Republicans are offended by comedy,” someone else argued.
Another mocked: “Comedy is now illegal.”
Someone else pointed out: “It’s funny how Druski never explicitly called himself Erika Kirk in that skit, he just said ‘conservative women be like.’
“Yet everyone, all the way up to the president of the United States, immediately recognized her in his character.”
One person wrote: “Snowflake.”
