Facebook and Instagram went down and the memes were hilarious

On 20 November 2018, Facebook and Instagram both went down and, needless to say, it caused pandemonium.

The two major social media sites were unprecedently down for a few hours leaving everyone panic-stricken about not being able to view their friend's latest boomerang or like a video of goats wearing pyjamas.

Luckily, Twitter survived this blackout and everyone took to that site to voice their disdain (and in some cases delight) in the form of memes. Needless to say, a lot of them were very, very funny.

Even some police departments got involved.

Some people were quite happy.

Spare a thought for anyone who works in social media today.
