OK, so you may need a state-of-the-art scanning system, a crack team of specialists and access to the president himself. Oh, and a 3D printer capable of producing one of the highest resolution digital models ever made. But hey, if there's a will there's a way.
And the team from the Smithsonian Institute certainly have a will. Using 50 custom-built LED lights, eight high-resolution sports photography cameras and a further five wide-angle cameras, the team, in conjunction with the University of Southern California, have created a 3D portrait of US president Barack Obama.
