What happens when you search for your own name on Google Maps

The future is creepy.

Alex Hern of the Guardian discovered a disquieting feature of Google Maps when he searched for his own name on the app.

For some disturbing reason, Google Maps appears to link individuals, or at least their names, to specific geographic locations.

We tried it on ourselves at i100.co.uk...

There is a Matthew Champion working towards a PhD on perceptions of time in the Burgundian Low Countries in the fifteenth century, at Queen Mary University of London. His job sounds great.
