‘Freezing’ Tom Hanks worries viewers after hosts outdoor inauguration celebration in just a suit

Joe Biden’s first night as president was marked with a special celebration featuring music from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, John Legend and Foo Fighters.

The event, which was dubbed ‘Celebrating America’ was hosted by none other than Oscar winner Tom Hanks, who is possibly the most likeable man in the world.

Therefore there was great concern for the 64-year-old actor, who has had Covid-19 in the past 12 months, was left to present the entire thing outside of the various monuments in Washington DC – wearing just a suit

Now if this event would have happened in a warmer month then a suit would probably suffice but no, it happened in January and the temperature in Washington on Wednesday was reportedly fell as low as -2°C so it was considerably cold.

Could someone have not found Hanks a coat? This guy is a national treasure. He shouldn’t have to deal with hypothermia after just overcoming Covid.

Needless to say, there was a lot of concern for his wellbeing.

CNN producer DJ Judd confirmed that it was indeed very cold in DC.

Literally everyone else had a coat apart from Tom Hanks.

Even members of Congress wanted Hanks to just put on a coat.

Perhaps all those awards he’s won over the years, has made him immune to the cold.

Thankfully there have been no reports of Hanks falling ill as a result of last night so we are just going to presume he’s ok.

Weather aside Hanks was in great form, as you can tell from his soundcheck where he references Godzilla and The Avengers.
