Australian sports reporter causes hysterics after NSFW slip-of-the-tongue

An Australian sports reporter Tony Armstong had the studio and viewers in stitches after an unfortunate slipping-of-the-tongue that caused him to say a rude word on national television.

During the sports segment on Australia’s ABC Breakfast, Armstrong was discussing Aussie cricket captain Tim Paine’s recent neck injury that could result in him needing surgery.

He began: “To cricket news, and Tim Paine is set to undergo neck surgery but medical staff remain confident he will be fit for the Ashes.”

But Armstrong soon discovered the perils of live TV since his next sentence is what everybody is talking about due to the hilarious slip-up.

“Paine has a bulging d**k that has been, bulging disc that has been - that’s a funny one - causing him pain in his neck and left arm and the injury hasn’t responded to treatment,” Armstrong said while chuckling at his error.

Once the segment was over, Armstrong was keen to hand things back to co-host Michael Rowland who then mocked the sports reporter for his embarrassing mishap.

“A bulging what? Disc?” Rowland asked jokingly.

“Disc, disc. I said disc,” Armstrong replied.

“That’s what I thought you said,” Rowland teased.

Meanwhile, co-host Lisa Millar minded her own business and while awkwardly laughing said: “I’m just going to drink water” as she held her glass.

Rowland then gave it away to weather presenter Nate Bryne to which the weatherman hilariously replied: “Why me? Don’t bring me into this, is my mic working? I hope not.”

People found the entire situation pretty funny as they shared the video of the clip to Twitter, along with their reactions.

The slip-up seems to have humoured Paine himself too, who hilariously confirmed Armstrong’s comment was a “true story.”
