That time when Poland's deputy PM mistook a lamp for a microphone

This is Tomasz Siemoniak, the defence minister of Poland and also the country's deputy prime minister.

He's obviously a very important person with a very important job.

But sadly he is prone to confusion, particularly when it comes to microphones and lamps on podiums.

This unfortunate incident took place while addressing army officers in Warsaw.

As Russia Today notes, the video was nevertheless uploaded on to the Polish defence ministry's YouTube channel, but crucially after Siemoniak had directed the beam of light on to his face, which is visible throughout.

One commenter wrote on YouTube that the people of cPoland ould "sleep easy" in the knowledge this man was in charge of their security.
