Warning: As you'd expect from Mr Jefferies, this article contains foul language.

Jim Jefferies is a comedian who perhaps is best known for his rant against the American gun lobby from an Australian perspective.

He recently came into conflict with Piers Morgan when the two represented a difference of opinion over Donald Trump's travel ban executive order.

The ban, which suspended the issuing of United States visas or travel permits for 90 days to refugees from:

  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Libya
  • Somalia
  • Sudan
  • Syria (indefinitely)
  • Yemen

These are all Muslim-majority countries, which led to the ban being dubbed a "Muslim ban".

People have countered that the countries were in fact chosen by the Obama administration, but the purposes and policies behind the lists were distinctly different.

Piers Morgan went on Bill Maher's Real Time on HBO on Friday, to peddle the White House line that the ban did not affect 85 per cent of the Muslim population, and therefore did not constitute a Muslim Ban, suggesting that any attempt to label it as such was inflammatory and hysterical.

Jim Jefferies took issue with this suggestion:

Oh, F*** off!

It's a Muslim Ban! He said it was a Muslim ban!

Donald Trump's administration was unequiovocal that the immigration ban did not refer to Muslims, while the man himself has been more vague on Twitter:

Piers Morgan replied that Jefferies reaction was hysterical, Jefferies replied:

This is what you do, Piers. You say, ‘He hasn’t done this, he hasn’t done that, he’s not going to do all these things.’ Give him a f***ing chance, mate. Hitler didn’t kill the Jews on the first day, he worked up to it, mate.

Morgan then argued that Jefferies was getting rude and personal, and that he was losing the audience.

Jefferies asked the audience if that was the case.

Their reaction suggested otherwise.

Jefferies has tried to continue the argument on Twitter.
