Mia Farrow, the actress and activist who has been an outspoken critic of the US president, has called out Donald Jr and Eric Trump after their father signed a bill that makes animal cruelty a federal felony at the start of the week.

The star of Rosemary’s Baby and Hannah and Her Sisters tweeted Trump a picture of his sons engaged in a spot of trophy hunting accompanied by the words:

Tell your sons that animal cruelty is now a crime.

Upon signing the bill Trump said, “It is important that we combat these heinous and sadistic acts of cruelty” and one has to wonder whether he would define Twitter trolling in similar terms.

The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act refers to any conduct involving an animal in which it "is purposely crushed, burned, drowned, suffocated, impaled, or otherwise subjected to serious bodily injury."

Many agreed with Farrow and were glad she highlighted the hypocrisy of the Trumps.

The President is too busy tweeting pictures of himself depicted as a boxer to dignify this with a reply.
