When German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the White House in March, it appeared to even the untrained eye that she was snubbed by the US President - who didn't shake her hand on camera.
However, the pair met again at the G20 Summit in Hamburg this week - and they did shake hands for the gathered press.
The much anticipated handshake between two of the world's most powerful people was not the height of grandeur - but instead, just very very awkward.
