Prime minister's questions goes from the ridiculous to the sublime.
From last week's shambles of George Osborne looking, well, a shambles, this week David Cameron seemed to invent a new sex act while discussing shadow chancellor Ed Balls.
He [Ed Balls] said that he would be tough on the deficit and tough on the causes of the deficit. As he is one of the causes of the deficit, I think we've just found the first ever example of political maso-sadism.
- David Cameron, the prime minister of the United Kingdom
As shouts of "sadomasochism!" rang out around the Commons, speaker John Bercow intervened.
"Order, order," he implored. "We all know what the prime minister meant."
Innocent face.
Meanwhile, we also have the prime minister to thank, indirectly, for this gif of Ed Balls pretending to whip him.
What a time to be alive.
