For most people, whenever the word 'men' is said out loud it is usually followed by this response:

As a heterosexual male, I have to agree that this type of reaction is perfectly valid, especially after the awful things that men have done in the past few years.

However, let's not completely write men off just yet, as some of them do still have some humanity and affection left in their genetic make-up.

Over on Reddit (yeah, who would have thought that website would be the place to restore your faith in men?) users are sharing the little things about their partners that they find attractive.

Thankfully these aren't gratuitous descriptions of someone's shape or sex acts. Except they are cute, idiosyncratic things that others might not notice but just happen to hit the spot.

Here are a few of our favourites.

1. Small noises.

2. A kiss on the cheek.

3. Remembering tiny things.

4. Saying 'hi'.

5. Kindness.

7. Not being shy about not knowing something.

8. Being weird.

9. Being smarter.

11. Poking fun but keeping it friendly.

This is hardly groundbreaking stuff but it might just, ever so slightly, restore your faith in (some) men.
