An estimated 26,000 people are expected to take part in this weekend's Pride parade, which concludes on Sunday.
If you are wondering why there was a heavy police presence at the event, it was because the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were asked to launch this year's Pride as a mark of respect for their acts of bravery following the recent terror attacks and the Grenfell fire tragedy.
