The Ebola outbreak has killed more than 3,800 people across the world but somehow the fact that this is no laughing matter has escaped at least one man.
A passenger, who was seen coughing, sparked a full-scale alert when he shouted "I have Ebola, you are all screwed" during a flight from the US to the Dominican Republic.
When the US Airways flight landed in Punta Cana airport the extent of his sense of humour failure was exposed when medical teams in protective suits boarded the aircraft.
The 54-year-old American man, who has not been named, was heard to say "I ain't from Africa, s*" as he was escorted from the plane.
The incident came to light after a passenger on board the plane filmed it and posted the footage online.
Authorities in the Dominican Republic have concluded that the man does not have Ebola, nor a sense of perspective.
I've done this for 36 years, and I think that the man who has said this is an idiot, and I'll say that straight out.
