Shock as Janice from Friends has a completely different accent in real life

It may be 22 years since Friends first graced our television scenes but, thanks to daily repeats and weekend marathons, the characters still have a special place in all our hearts.

No less so than Janice, Chandler's ex-girlfriend and owner of perhaps one of the most famous laughs and catchphrases in TV history.

So when Janice, real name Maggie Wheeler, appeared on ITV's This Morning to talk about Friends Fest (a festival to celebrate all things Friends) anticipation was high.

However when Wheeler started to speak, things got awkward.

Instead of the shrill accent fans have come to know and love - Wheeler, shockingly, spoke with an ordinary accent.

Who'd of thought it - being an actor and all.
