Gary Lineker cut his hand on the SPOTY award, proves he will literally bleed for the BBC

Andy Murray was crowned Sports Personality of the Year at the awards ceremony in Belfast on Sunday night.

There to present the end of year award for the BBC were the likes of Claire Balding, Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker.

While carrying out the huge trophy at the beginning of the show, the Match of the Day presenter managed to cut his hand, exclaiming: "I'm bleeding everywhere."

Which led to Logan quipping: "He literally bleeds for the BBC."
