Coffee – it wakes you up in the morning and fights off that afternoon drowsiness. But some customers could have experienced something a little stronger with one particular coffee.

A coffee company has voluntarily recalled one type of its coffee, which contains an ingredient similar to what’s in Viagra.

You know, that drug for erectile dysfunction.

Bestherbs Coffee LLC took one of its coffees - succinctly called 'New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee' - off the shelves after a lab found desmethyl carbodenafil in it – which is similar to the active ingredient in Viagra.

So far, no one has reported a complaint after drinking the coffee - thankfully.

But the Federal Drug Administration says the ingredient could interact with some other prescription drugs to cause dangerously low blood pressure levels.

It also warned that the coffee's unlisted milk ingredient could be dangerous for people with allergies or sensitivities to milk.

The coffee was marketed as a “male enhancement” and the front of its packet calls it “natural herbs coffee”.

However, this isn’t the first time our favourite drink has been associated with that male "expression" of arousal.

In 2015 a coffee brand called Stuff Bull produced a type called “Stiff Bull,” which claimed to improve libido and sexual health.
