This can sometimes be the response of a friend trying to seem more worldly than they are, but it can actually be very useful travel advice.

A recent reddit thread asked world travellers for the places they saw as the most overrated tourist destinations in the world.

London featured on the list - but only in relation to how long the drive is to Stonehenge.

Public notice to (mostly American) tourists: If you are booking a holiday to Stonehenge, don't stay in London, it's the other side of the country.

For this reason, we haven't featured Stonehenge among the picks.
