Miley Cyrus effortlessly deals with wardrobe malfunction during New Year’s Eve concert

Miley Cyrus kicked off 2022 in a manner she probably didn’t anticipate - by having to rapidly fix her wardrobe during a New Year’s Eve concert following a major malfunction.

The 29-year-old singer was performing her song ‘Party in the USA’ at Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in Miami, Florida, which was live on NBC with Pete Davidson acting as co-host when her small glittery top came loose.

In footage of the concert, Cyrus removes the top and covers her chest, while still managing to carry on singing we should add, before dashing off stage while her band continued to play.

She reemerged seconds later, this time wearing a big red coat and nothing else on underneath.

Cyrus candidly nodded to the lyrics of the 2009 song by saying “Everybody’s definitely looking at me now” before quipping “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”

The star’s flawless remedy to what could have been a very embarassing situation was widely praised on social media with Matthew Leach, the editor of MLB.com noting: “Man, if we all handle our setbacks as coolly as Miley handled that wardrobe malfunction, it might actually be a decent year.”

Bravo Miley. Let’s all aspire to deal with our problems in the next 12 months as seamlessly as she did in the first few moments of 2022.
