Chris Evans helped Regina King up the stairs at the Oscars and everyone loved it

Chris Evans might not have been up for any awards at the Oscars but he still made headlines.

The Captain America star rushed to help Regina King up the stairs to accept her Best Supporting Actress award when she appeared to catch her shoe in her dress.

The impromptu act of chivalry sent fans into a meltdown.

It wasn’t the first time Evans had been filmed being a gentleman.

He also helped Betty White, then-92-years-old, up the stairs at the 2015 People’s Choice Awards.

Evans is so good at it, some people were suggesting the Academy should give him a full-time job assisting people to the stage.

And Regina wasn’t the only member of the King family who got to spend some time with Captain America.

Her mum got to sit next to him for the whole show.

After last night’s performance, Evans should get an invite to the Oscars every year.
