Oprah speaks out over picture of her with three hands

Last month Vanity Fair released their annual Hollywood issue which always features a host of top stars from the movie business.

Unlike most years when everybody falls head over heels to see the rich and famous in all their glory, this issue attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.

In the editing process, something clearly went wrong as certain photos were littered with major errors.

For instance, Reese Witherspoon was given an extra leg.

That wasn't the only mishap though, as Oprah Winfrey was awarded an extra hand.

Both Reese and Oprah acknowledged how hilarious the mistake was at the time but was it actually an accident? Or does Oprah really have an extra hand?

In an appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, where she was promoting her new movie A Wrinkle in Time, she revealed the truth.

I've been trying to keep it a secret all these years and I was hoping you would except me as the three-handed woman that I am.

She went on to explain that she received an apology from the photographer Annie Leibovitz.

I didn't notice it but I heard about it on social media. 

Annie Leibovitz sent me an apology and I was like 'It's okay Annie. It's alright that I have a third hand.'

I think what they were doing was moving people around and I got a third hand.
