Relationships are like cars: each one has its own unique licence plate, and how well it lasts through the years depends entirely on how well it is serviced.
That squeaky gearshift can come back and bite you if you’re not careful!
The same goes for relationships: paying attention to your partner’s needs sets a clear path towards a happy, fulfilled future.
A report by Pew Research Centre found that over half of married adults in the US – 61 per cent to be exact – say that sharing household chores is “very important” to a successful marriage.
Yes: the one-person-washes-the-other-dries method actually works.
Sixty-six per cent of adults cite shared interests as a crucial element to a long-lasting marriage, followed by a satisfying sexual relationship (61 per cent).
Men are slightly more likely to say sharing chores is important – 63 per cent to women’s 58 per cent, and 18- to 29-year-olds are more likely (67 per cent to 56 per cent) to raise the importance of sharing chores, compared to those aged between 50 and 64.
