This restaurant is offering women discounts based on their bra size

A restaurant, known as 'Trendy Shrimp' is reportedly offering discounts for women depending on their bra size.

The news was reported in the Qianjiang Evening Post on 1 August, and since then signs regarding the discounts have been taken down.

Photographs of a sign, said to up in the restaurant, suggests women with an A cup size bra can receive a five per cent discount.

While women with a G cup can receive as much as 65 per cent off.

Images, supposedly of the sign have been shared widely on social media and reported on by the BBC.

According to the Qianjiang Evening Post, adverts for the restaurant showed women lining up in their underwear, with the caption:

The whole city is looking for Breasts.

Trendy Shrimp is located in Hangzhou, a city in Zhejiang province.

General Manager of the restaurant Len Shenggang is quoted in the Evening Post, defending the sales strategy.

Once the promotion started, customer numbers rose by about 20%,

Some of the girls we met were very proud - they had nothing to hide.

According to magazine Anlegerplus he also stated that although the poster had been banned, the discount strategy would continue.
