Britain's favourite sex positions have finally been revealed

A new survey has revealed the nation's favourite sex position, how many people practice safe sex and how kinky they perceive themselves to be.

Overall it turns out we're quite an unadventurous nation, with missionary being the favourite position. However, these are the favourite positions broken down region by region:

1 Northern Ireland Cowgirl / Girl on Top (43%)

2 Scotland Spooning (39%)

3 North East Reverse Cowgirl (31%)

4 North West Missionary (42%)

5 Yorkshire & the Humber Doggy Style (36%)

6 East Midlands Cowgirl / Girl on Top (38%)

7 West Midlands 69 (24%)

8 Wales Doggy Style (51%)

9 Eastern Missionary (27%)

10 London Standing up (18%)

11 South West Missionary (32%)

12 South East Spooning (38%)

Meanwhile, the people of Northern Ireland were found to practice the most safe sex:

And those in the South East considered themselves to be the kinkiest on a scale of 1-10:

UK Medix, an online pharmacy, asked 2,157 British people to take part in the study, all of whom were aged 18 and over and had been sexually active for a minimum of 12 months. There was an equal split between male and female respondents.
