GTA Online update

Rockstar Games has shared an update for GTA Online on social media.

A post said: "Floor it for 2x Rewards in this week’s GTA Online Community Race Series, featuring a sprawling Stunt Race that circles the Vinewood Reservoir and Blaine County.

"Look out next week for our Community Series Showcase celebrating the best Jobs and Creators."

Reaction to xQc's comments about GTA 6 price

Redditors have been reacting to xQc's comments that GTA 6 "should cost $800".

On a post in the LivestreamFail Subreddit, Scarecro0w said: "Why do people keep talking about money with xQc, that guy has been out of touch for years now with the amount he has, he could buy a $1,000 can of soda and he wouldn't even notice he paid that much."

TheTaintBurglar said: "He's clearly being facetious."

OverThrownBaby said: "All he is saying that if you compare what Rockstar has been putting out vs the other 'AAA' $60+ games that have been coming out. Then the value of the game should come to $800 dollars. Which I get completely."

baltiking said: "I get his point tbh. He's just exaggerating the price a bit. A lot of subpar and lacklustre games are being sold for $50-$60 which you barely play for 100-200 hours. I'd happily pay $100 for GTA 6 which is almost guaranteed to have good story and even better multiplayer options."

teemo_op said: "I think he pretty clearly articulates here that he's just making the argument that plenty of people have made, that the amount of entertainment you get from a good video game is worth way more 'value wise' than you pay for the game, when you consider the amount of hours you get out of it. He's not actually saying a game should be $800. And I hate to say that xqc 'clearly articulates' anything."

xQc thinks GTA 6 'should cost $800'

On a recent stream, xQc said he thinks Rockstar Games should charge $800 for GTA 6.

He said: "If you were to give a product by the standardisation of the market, all games considered, all games of the current year... What you get for what you pay for... GTA should cost $800.

"I know it should never and it will never cost $800 but in the current industry standard of the amount of content you get and quality for the price you currently pay for games, it's an $800 product.

"These days, you pay $60, $80, you get f****** nothing. Nothing."

ICYMI: GTA 6 pre-order and price 'reveal' blow

Rockstar Games seems to have removed IDs from the PlayStation database which sparked speculation about pre-orders and price being revealed soon.

A dataminer discovered the IDs and this sparked widespread speculation as this usually happens just before pre-orders open for a game. Some gamers had been exploiting what seemed to be a glitch causing the game to appear in their 'recently played' lists.

But another dataminer has since found Rockstar seems to have taken them down for now.

@yAmethyst posted on X / Twitter: "The title IDs for GTA 6 have been 'delisted' by order of Rockstar; this means that anyone who had 'GTA 6 played now' no longer has it."

It's claimed this will not have any effect on Rockstar's timeline for GTA 6.

Godbearmax said: "We need trailer 3, now."

SRWindMill said: "Lost GTA 6 before we got GTA 6."

ICYMI: Pre-order and price reveals 'imminent'

GTA 6 title IDs have been found in the back-end of the PlayStation database, according to PlayStation Game Size on X / Twitter.

This usually happens just before pre-orders open for a game.

Responding to a question in the comments about the potential timeline for this, PlayStation Game Size said: "To be honest, it completely depends on the publisher and it's not something I know for sure.

"But I don't think there's going to be a long wait."

Pre-order and price 'imminent' reaction

from GTA6

GTA 6 fans have been reacting to claims that pre-orders and price news could be 'imminent' after GTA 6 title IDs were spotted in the back-end of the PlayStation database.

gabrielripa posted in the GTA 6 Subreddit: "It's happening!!! This is huge news and this account is 100 per cent reliable when it comes to PSN info."

And others have been commenting with their thoughts.

Reasonable-Battle-26 said: "The second I start seeing GTA 6 posters on game stores as well, it's gonna hit me harder than brick because it basically reminded me of the time GTA 5 was about to release and they had posters of Trevor, Franklin and Micheal all over GameStop and EBgames stores when I was 12-years-old. Goddam the nostalgia 😤🙌🏼 good luck to the future generation tho of this game, they gonna feel the promos coming everywhere."

RandomGuyOnDaNet90 said: "People worrying about physical copies spoiling the game, they should be worrying about trophy leaks spoiling it."

dollarn9ne said: "Ready for physical copy with a map."

'Very good news'

@videotechuk_ has posted on X / Twitter it would be "very good news if Rockstar plans to support the Pro with PSSR 2.0".

He added: "It's competing well with FSR 4.0, clarity wise with GTA 6 in trailer 2 was quite rough - PSSR will help boost this big time while the base PS5 will probably look a lot blurrier."

GTA 6 will look 'insane on PS5 Pro'

There are claims online that GTA 6 will look "insane on PS5 Pro".

That's because Sony has confirmed an upgraded PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) upscaler is being rolled out to consoles across the coming weeks.

PSSR is an AI library that analyses game images pixel by pixel as it upscales them and it's been used to boost the resolution of more than 50 titles on PS5 Pro so far.

Resident Evil Requiem, which launched on Friday (27 February), is the first game to showcase the PSSR upgrade and gamers online have been stunned by the improvements they've seen.

It remains to be seen if GTA 6 will take advantage of this when it releases on 19 November but with previous claims Sony has secured the exclusive marketing rights to the game, there is anticipation that it will and PS5 Pro will be the best console to experience the game on at launch.
