People are questioning why two men are on British TV debating women's abortion rights

Following the news that a woman in the UK has been sent to jail for inducing an abortion past the legal limit, GMB welcomed two men onto their show this morning (13 June)...to discuss female reproductive rights.

Andrew Pierce, a consultant editor at The Daily Mail, and Kevin Maguire, associate editor of The Daily Mirror faced-off as they discussed whether the outcome should've been so harsh.

However, allowing men to debate on the topic has left a rather sour taste in the mouths of many.

While Maguire argued that sending the woman to jail was depriving her other children of a mother, Pierce suggested it was still 'murder' - although he appeared to agree prison wasn't necessarily the right approach.
