These rescue dogs getting over-excited choosing their Christmas toys is so wholesome

An adorable clip shows rescue dogs in Ireland getting over-excited as they choose out new toys for Christmas.

Riley, a lurcher looking for a new home, stole the show as he got so overwhelmed by the decision he knocked the camera over.

“It allows potential adopters to see the ‘real them’, which may take a few months to emerge in a new home", staff say.

“Many of the dogs are nervous about unfamiliar people, so we believe that selecting a toy brings out their true personality."
