Terrifying moment hot air balloon thuds into car park after missing houses

Terrifying footage shows the moment a hot air balloon narrowly missed houses and ended up landing in a Somerset car park with a huge thud.

“I looked out from the balcony door to be confronted by the sheer size of the red balloon descending,” said Nicki Witherden, a resident who filmed the clip. “Amazingly no one was injured or hurt.”

The balloon was spotted reportedly looking 'in trouble' as it flew low over the motorway, but its owners at Bailey Balloons are yet to comment on what went wrong.
