American expat reveals what she wish she knew before moving to Japan

A US expat has revealed what she wishes she'd known before moving to Japan in a TikTok video.

"The weather is awful" she said. "This is the coldest I've ever been in my entire life."

The content creator, known as Kawaii Coco, is based in Tokyo, and admits this is the first time she's ever had to buy a scarf and earmuffs.

She goes on to describe that at the height of summer it's "hot as hell" and electricity bills are "stupid high" from keeping the air conditioning on all day.
